SPI Continues to offer the best in Aftermarket performance braking components. When looking for brake pads, the key thing to
remember is the coefficient of friction rating for that pad. This is a 2 letter rating system (see graph below). The first letter is the cold
temp coefficient rating and the second letter is the hot temp coefficient. The higher the letters, the higher the coefficient of friction.
SPI BRAKES
SPI SEMI-METALLIC PADS
SPI FULL-METAL PADS
Our semi-metallic brake pads and shoes are composed of a non-asbestos, semi-metallic carbon kevlar aramid fiber from Dupont.
Our full-metal pads are composed of copper, carbon, tin, lead and other metallic elements.
DOT RATING COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION (C.F.) AT 250F & 600F
GENERAL APPLICATIONS
FF
0.44-0.45 AT BOTH TEMPS
THIS PAD IS WELL SUITED FOR MOST CONDITIONS.
0-22% FADE POSSIBLE AT 600F
IT HAS A MINIMAL FADE AT HIGH TEMPERATURES,
AND IS GOOD FOR PERFORMANCE APPLICATIONS.
DOT RATING COEFFICIENT OF FRICTION (C.F.) AT 250F & 600F
GENERAL APPLICATIONS
GG
0.45-0.50 AT BOTH TEMPS
THIS PAD IS GREAT FOR MOST CONDITIONS, AS IT
FADING VERY RARE
WILL BED QUICKER ON WORN DISCS. THIS RATING
IS GREAT FOR PERFORMANCE APPLICATIONS.
